Portly Papa

Posted on March 29, 2011 by Aun

So, there’s a small reason I haven’t had time to post for a while. 3.075 kilos small to be exact. On 10 March, my darling wife S and I became parents (for the first time). Our little boy–we’ll call him T on this site–is a real cutie and has been keeping both of us very busy. S is doing very, very well and I’m slowly getting used to fatherhood.

My new favourite time of each day is my 945pm bottle feed duty. It’s one of the only times on weekdays at which I get to spend some real quality time with T. And since I come visiting with 120ml of delicious mama’s milk, he’s always happy to see me.

I’ll get back to blogging soon. Next up will be the brioche recipe that we use for our burger buns. So, thanks for your continued patience and support.

About Aun Koh

Aun has always loved food and travel, passions passed down to him from his parents. This foundation, plus a background in media, pushed him to start Chubby Hubby in 2005. He loves that this site allows him to write about the things he adores--food, style, travel, his wife and his bouncing baby boy!

  22. piqrt March 30, 2011 at 1:33 pm

Congrats! Exciting times ahead! I remember when we had our baby we adopted the 9-1-5-9 routine so each parent could at least get 6-7 hrs of sleep every night. Babies are fed every 4 hours so if parents take turns to feed the baby alternately each parent can get about 7 hrs of undisturbed sleep. Have fun – babies are lots of fun!!

Congratulations on the new arrival! I bet this is a magical moment for both of you! Although i do not have a real baby, I am actually raising a baby virtually for one of my classes, LifeSpan Development. It is literally a virtual child and i answer questions and watch videos on the different stages and phases the child is going through. Obviously, unlike you my virtual child is not too attached to me…maybe is the fact i do not have that bottle of milk in my hands…in all seriousness congratulations, that is one of the biggest moment as parents!
